Rebates of up to $12,500 available to Queensland businesses buying energy efficient equipment

Under the Queensland Government's new Queensland Business Energy Saving and Transformation (QBEST) Program, eligible small and medium-sized businesses can claim a rebate of up to 50% on the cost of purchasing and installing new, energy efficient equipment, with a maximum rebate of $12,500. The minimum spend is $8000 excluding GST.

Eligible equipment includes 4-star energy-rated consumer appliances, energy-efficient commercial refrigerators, LED lighting, motion sensors and more.

The energy-efficient equipment you purchase and install must reduce the energy consumption and lower energy bills of your business, as well as contribute to the Queensland Government's carbon reduction targets.

Round One is open now and closes when the allocated funding has been exhausted. Further rounds are expected in February and August 2024.
