The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in Thailand is responsible for environmental protections and regulations. The following are examples of voluntary eco-labels and icons accepted in Thailand.
There is also a demand for renewable technology in line with net zero emissions targets. Below are a couple of examples of voluntary eco-labels.
Green label is a voluntary label administered by the Thai Institute for Environmental Studies (TEI). The label spans electronic devices, home and living, construction materials, services, office supplies and products, vehicles and accessories and paper products. Carbon Reduction Label and Carbon Reduction Certifications for Buildings is a voluntary certification that is administered by the Thailand Institute for Environment (TEI). Carbon emissions must be reduced a minimum of 10% on average in the production process for each product since 2017. There is also a carbon reduction label for building products with a similar requirement to reduce emissions.
